He is one of more charismatic person of egypt, because his jackal face.
But, him is the "troublemaker" of gods. Responsable for dirty work, deads, army's and all the influence in Egypt's destiny.
Is a great "friend" of Isis, the Mother Godness of egyptian Panteon. Being so, he becames the protector of his son, Horus, (son of Isis and Osiris). The eye of Horus (plus on the little orb with an eye above anubis totem in picture) is the simble of justice, and life.
